Welcome to the Tatanka District of the Sam Houston Area Council, Boy Scouts of America. The Tatanka District serves families within the boundaries of the Alief Independent School Districts. Over 725 youth members are enrolled in 11 Cub Scout Packs, 10 Boy Scout Troops, 6 Venture Crews, and 1 Sea Ship. In addition to the over 725 youth members active in these 27 Scouting units, nearly 500 adult volunteers give their time and talent to help these youth become the responsible leaders of tomorrow.
